Active from the 1960s until his passing in 2016, Russell forged a unique path in geometric abstraction with his radiant colour, optical precision, and signature hexagonal canvases. This presentation, featuring his largest canvases and key 1970s works, highlights a singular voice whose oeuvre pulses with rhythmic intensity, firmly reaffirming his place in the canon of postwar Canadian art.
