At ELLEPHANT, we curate encounters with analog, digital, video, installation, kinetic, robotic, DIY, VR, AR, AI, textiles, immersive and interactive art forms. ELLEPHANT is a place where contemporary art and technology meet.

At ELLEPHANT, we support and advocate for the acquisition of postdigital, gender-inclusive, postcolonial, feminist art. Work by our artists are in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Indigenous Art Centre, Ville de Montréal, Hydro-Québec, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, National Bank of Canada, Equitable Bank, Munich Re, Global Affairs, The Carl & Marilynn Thoma Art Foundation and the Eiteljorg Museum, amongst others.

Located on Peace Park, in the heart of Montreal’s former red-light district, ELLEPHANT is part of Montreal’s celebrated cultural sector, the Quartier des spectacles. Solo and group exhibitions showcasing the most innovative contemporary art from here are visible 24/7, via the gallery’s street level windows. There is also a curated selection of Virtual Reality / Augmented Reality art always available to be experienced in the gallery.

ELLEPHANT is a member of the Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles and the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries.
