At ELLEPHANT, we curate encounters with analog, digital, video, installation, kinetic, robotic, DIY, VR, AR, AI, textiles, immersive and interactive art forms. ELLEPHANT is a place where contemporary art, technology and poetry meet.
ELLEPHANT is located on Peace Park, in the heart of Montreal’s former red-light district, in Montreal’s celebrated cultural sector, the Quartier des spectacles.
ELLEPHANT never closes, with solo and group exhibitions showcasing the most innovative contemporary art from here, visible 24/7, via the gallery’s streetlevel windows. There is also a curated selection of International VR and AR Art always available to be experienced in the gallery.
ELLEPHANT’s public events feature live performances by internationally acclaimed poets.
At ELLEPHANT, we support and advocate for the acquisition of new and innovative postdigital art. Our artists are exhibited internationally, and are in the collections of the National Gallery of Canada, MACM, MNBAQ, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Indigenous Art Centre, Ville de Montréal, The Carl & Marilynn Thoma Art Foundation, Hydro-Québec, CDPQ, National Bank of Canada, Equitable Bank, Munich Re and Global Affairs.
